small town barber who sees a chance to make his fortune by investing
in a dry-cleaning chain. He reacts in a manner that belies his seemingly
low-key personality. Suspecting that his wife is having an affair with

in an escalating series of complications.
"Joel and Ethan had been talking about this film for years.
I love black-and-white
. It focuses you on the content and the
story, and it really concentrates your attention on what's in the frame."
