Amélie is a shy young Parisian woman whose life if transformed when she discovers a child's hidden treasure box. Inspired by the owner's joy when she returns it, Amélie becomes a secret do-gooder, bringing happiness to the lives of those around her. Her attraction to a timid young man, however, leaves her wondering if she will be able to find the same joy in her own life.

"We wanted the whole film to look very warm with very rich colors…. We wanted to go for an almost storybook feel."
