His credits also include A Walk in the Clouds, The Birdcage, Great Expectations, Ali, The Cat in the Hat, The Assassination of Richard Nixon and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, among others. “In my early conversations with Alfonso (Cuarón), we spoke about the energy that was generated by The Battle of Algiers. He wanted to approach this film like we were covering the 5 o’clock news or a documentary with the camera following the characters.”
In 2027, infertility and terrorism threaten humankind. When Theo Faron (Clive Owen) becomes disillusioned by government bureaucracy, he is recruited to help transport and protect a miraculously pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea where her child’s birth may help scientists save the future.
