Los Angeles: Nominees for the ICG 45th Annual Publicists Awards are:
The Press Award, which honors outstanding journalists who cover the entertainment industry: Nikki Finke – LA Weekly / Deadline Hollywood Daily; Bill Keveney -- USA Today; Scott Mantz – Access Hollywood; Claudia Puig – USA Today; Anne Thompson – Daily Variety; and Susan Wloszczyna - USA Today.
The International Media Award : Didier Allouch – France; Philip Berk – Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong; Anke Hofmann – Germany; Lorenzo Soria – Italy; and Yuko Yoshikawa – Japan.
Excellence in Unit Still Photography, which recognizes a photographer’s significant contributions to the craft of unit still photography: Andrew Cooper, Francois Duhamel, Melinda Sue Gordon, Frank Masi and Ron Jaffe.
The Les Mason Award, the highest honor paid a publicist for lifetime achievement: Tony Angellotti, Claudia Gray, Mary Hunter, Pat Kingsley, Stan Rosenfield and Deborah Wuliger.
The Maxwell Weinberg Publicist Showmanship Awards for Television and Motion Picture, which honor union publicists whose achievements in publicity and promotion during the previous calendar year have been outstanding: For television, the union publicists who worked on
Aliens In America - CW, CBS Paramount; Bob Barker’s Retirement from The Price Is Right - CBS, Fremantle TV; CSI - CBS Paramount, Jerry Bruckheimer TV; Dirty Sexy Money – ABC; Gossip Girl - CW, Warner Bros. TV; Pushing Daisies - CW, Warner Bros. TV.
For motion pictures, the union publicists who worked on; Enchanted – Disney Studios; Knocked Up – Universal Pictures; The Simpsons Movie – 20th Century Fox; Superbad – Sony Pictures; 300 – Warner Bros.; and Transformers – Paramount.
Other awards to be presented at the luncheon are the Motion Picture Showmanship Award, which this year will go to writer-director-producer Judd Apatow; the Television Showmanship Award will go to Warner Bros. Television president Peter Roth; the Lifetime Achievement Award, Harrison Ford; and the Bob Yeager Award, which goes to a publicist in recognition of outstanding community service.
Award recipients will be announced at the awards luncheon Tuesday, February 5th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
