On June 12, Local 600’s newly elected officers commenced a new era of Guild business at the two-day gathering of the National Executive Board in Los Angeles. A host of key issues, from the transition of power to the status of the Guild’s jobs program to the Guild’s political agenda, dominated discussion.

The meeting kicked off with the passing of the gavel from President Emeritus George Spiro Dibie to new President Gary Dunham. President Dunham and fellow national officers National Vice President Tom Weston, First National Vice President Rusty Burrell, Second National Vice President Haskell Wexler, Secretary-Treasurer Paul Ferrazzi, Assistant Secretary-Treasurer Gabor Kover and Sergeant-At-Arms Frank Miller lead a frank discussion of a few transitional matters before getting into the meat of the meeting.

“The Election was a philosophical decision of the membership,” Dunham noted. “There will be some changes, but these will be very slow and very deliberate with the consensus of the NEB.”
