Here’s the latest info on what projects our members are working on, as of Sept. 3:

  • Billy Dickson is returning to shoot the second season of One Tree Hill. He’s also slated direct two episodes.
  • NYPD Blue welcomes Lex Du Pont back on the beat to shoot another season.
  • Eagle Egilsson is shooting his first season HBO's The Wire of in Baltimore.
  • Fred Elmes is in preproduction in New York on an untitled Jim Jarmusch project starring Bill Murray as an over-the-hill Don Juan who returns to visit some of the last loves of his life.
  • Xavier Perez Grobet will lens the live action and animation in Monster House with director Gil Kenan and DreamWorks and Imagemovers.
  • Eric Haase is in North Carolina shooting Southern Belles with directors Brennan Shroff and Paul S. Myers.
  • Director D.J. Caruso's has enlisted Conrad W. Hall to shoot Two for the Money for Morgan Creek and Cosmic Entertainment. It stars Al Pacino and Rene Russo.
  • Mott Hupfel has wrapped Mary Harron's The Ballad of Bettie Page and is teaming up with director Henry Bean on Noise for Seven Arts. Hupfel earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination in 2001 for American Astronaut.
  • Jan Kiesser will re-team with director Sturla Gunnarsson to shoot Beowulf and Grendel on location in Iceland.
  • Cinematographer Lajos Koltai recently directed Fateless in Budapest, Hungary – a historical movie about Hungarian Jews during the Holocaust.
  • Denis Maloney has signed on to collaborate with director David Jackson's on Buffalo Dreams for the Walt Disney Co.
  • John Mathieson and Ridley Scott have wrapped production on Kingdom of Heaven. Mathieson is currently shooting commercials in London.
  • Tim Maurice-Jones and director Guy Ritchie are teaming up once again to shoot Revolver for SKA Films and Europa Corp. The pair worked together on Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
  • Amazon.com has enlisted Dan Mindel to work on an spot with RSA commercial director Jake Scott.
  • Tobias Schliessler recently wrapped Peter Berg's Friday Night Lights and is shooting spots in Los Angeles.
  • Newton Thomas Sigel will lens Bryan Singer's Superman.
  • Peter Sova will shoot the pilot Thief, directed by Paul McGuigan and starring Andre Braugher.
  • NBC has arraigned John A. Thomas to shoot Law & Order: Trial by Jury.

Jerzy Zielinski is in preproduction on Fun With Dick and Jane, starring Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni. Lensing begins after Labor Day in Los Angeles in Super 35mm, followed by a digital intermediate in postproduction. "Most of the look will be done in-camera," Zielinski says. "In my mind that is how DI works — you have to execute a concept in-camera, then you enhance and improve it with the DI."
