"We're here to hold President Bush accountable for the promises he made to us four years ago," said AFL-CIO President John Sweeney. "President Bush promised to create five million new jobs and so far he's still six million short!" The afternoon rally was an impressive display of union solidarity. IATSE banners flew next to those representing SEIU, Teamsters, AFSCME, AFT and scores of other unions. Guild members joined their brothers and sisters from IATSE Locals 52, 700 and 829, among others. "This was a great day for the IATSE," said First Assistant Debbie Lipman. "It was entirely member motivated and it was the best turnout we've ever had in the Eastern Region." Actors James Gandolfini and Danny Glover and musician Tom Morello were among speakers representing a wide cross section of the labor movement. President Sweeney closed by saying, "Together, we will lift working families back on top in America. Together, we will put working families first in America. Together, we will reclaim America." For
