ICG Scholarship Applications Available The International Cinematographers Guild (ICG) Scholarship Fund is offering ten $1,500 educational grants for sons, daughters, and grandchildren of ICG members in good standing attending full time post-secondary education for the academic year 2005-2006. Funding is available for college, university, graduate school, junior college, conservatory, or any other post-high school technical school in the United States. High school seniors, as well as students in any year of post-secondary school may apply. The study of cinematography or photography is not a pre-requisite for this grant. In fact, grants are based on your total application, regardless of your course of study. In keeping with the spirit and diversity of our membership, these grants are awarded based on commitment to individual interests as well as academic and extra-curricular activities. Personal experiences, talents, and views are as important to the Scholarship Committee in their decision making process as grades and documented accomplishments. Although applications are evaluated based on these criteria, there is no guarantee of funding and as these are one-year scholarships only, there is no guarantee of continued funding year to year. The application includes a section on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities or employment and two essays designed for applicants to speak out about themselves. As part of the application, the Guild requires official transcripts and at least one recommendation. Applicants are encouraged to send supporting materials that demonstrate their talents. Download an application form now. (Adobe Acrobat file) Please note: this scholarship is ONLY available to children and grandchildren of Local 600 Members in good standing. All applications must be postmarked by no later than January
