Guild Launches 9th Annual Film Showcase

The ICG is once again offering a prestigious showcase for our members to showcase their talents with the launch of the Ninth Annual ICG Film Showcase.

The event is open to all members in all regions who are not rated as Directors of Photography and is meant to showcase those members who aspire to become cinematographers.

Projects may be submitted on film or HD/Digital. They will be reviewed by a panel of distinguished Directors of Photography, Camera Operators and Assistants who will choose a handful of shorts that reflect excellence in cinematography.

Submission requirements are as follows:

  • You must be a member in good standing of ICG Local 600.
  • The competition is open to all classifications except Directors of Photography.
  • The entrant must have served as the Director of Photography on the short film being submitted.
  • Films submitted must be no longer than thirty (30) minutes in length.
  • DVDs only of the film will be used in the committee's screening process

We will be adding Digital Projection to this event.

The projects chosen will be digitally projected at the Directors Guild Theater in Hollywood. The winners will also screen at selected theaters in the Eastern and Central regions. The showcase does require a projection print or a DigiBeta for these events.
