600 Member Seeks Help in Tracking Down Stolen Equipment

On Thursday, Feb. 3, Operator Jay Nefcy discovered that several pieces of his equipment were stolen from his home in Calabassas, CA. He's asking the entire camera community to help him get his equipment returned to him.

The stolen goods include a Sony DXC-D30 camera with a DSR-1 DVCam recorder (serial # 11350).

"The camera is in a large, soft camera bag along with an Arri clip-on matte box and Frezzoline sun-gun," noted Nefcy. "The camera had a Canon zoom, CN-YJ 18x9 BKS, with a pistol-grip zoom control. There were 4 Anton Bauer batteries and a 4-unit charger as well as a Sony nine inch color field monitor in a large white box."

He added, "They also got away with a DeSisti light kit with three 650 watt lamps and stands, a filter case with Harry Stradling Sr.'s 3" x 3" filters, a small light case with some china balls in it, an audio case with a Sure mixer and two Sony lavaliere microphones."

Nefcy is offering a $1,000 reward with no questions
asked for the recovery of the equipment.
