ICG Launches Emerging Cinematographers Awards

The International Cinematographers Guild unveiled The ICG Emerging Cinematographers Awards and announced this year’s eight honorees at the opening event at CineGear on June 21 at the Wadsworth Theater in West Los Angeles.

“This is one of the most important developments for the future of our Guild,” said President Steven Poster. “We were impressed by the quality of the entries. They represent the high caliber of work by new Guild members. We want to encourage young filmmakers to strive for excellence and we can be justly proud of this year’s award recipients.”

This year’s honorees were selected from more than 70 short films submitted and judged by members of ICG through a process of peer review.
