IA Organizes Ford's Theatre Wardrobe Department

For the first time in its history, the wardrobe department at Washington, DC’s historic Ford’s Theatre is now bargaining as part of Theatrical Wardrobe Union IATSE Local 722. The 14-member group was voluntarily recognized in May by the venue after a neutral third party card check indicated their desire to have the IA bargain on their behalf, IATSE announced on May 31.

This is another example of the continuing efforts by the IATSE to organize stage employees in all crafts at resident theatres across the United States.
